Reformed Pilates Studio instructor portrait

Owner and instructor at Reformed.

Focused on movement that helps the body rather than hurts the body. She has her masters degree in physician assistant studies and uses her knowledge of anatomy and disease processes to inform tailored programming for each client. She holds 550 hr certification in PT based pilates and 200 hr certification in PT based yoga. She is a life long athlete and has enjoyed many forms of exercise including: running, hot pilates, HIIT, and weight training. After many overuse injuries and searching for alternative forms of movement she found LYT Yoga, where she found posture (spinal alignment), core engagement and functional movement, she was hooked! She had been an equipment pilates student for many years and enjoyed the practice but often had pain with specific exercises. She started pilates training at Reforming foundations, where the focus is on movement while maintaining alignment with special attention given to areas of weakness, hypermobility or stiffness. She states “I don’t think I had ever engaged my deep core, or had correct alignment until I started school. With intentional and coordinated breathing combined with deep core engagement and spinal alignment my pilates practice completely changed and so did my body. I was able to physically do things in yoga I had never done. I was able to hike 4 + hrs a day for a week without injury or pain.”
